The Journal of Contemporary Economics (JCE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing high-quality research in contemporary economics and related business disciplines. The journal aims to foster scientific dialogue and knowledge exchange among research communities in Central, Eastern, and South-East Europe, and among scholars from developed economies and emerging markets across the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia. It publishes research that contributes to economic development, competitiveness, and understanding of complex economic and business phenomena relevant to both theory and practice.

JCE encourages submissions that address economic theory, policy, and practice, as well as contemporary business topics with substantive policy, managerial, and societal implications. Priority is given to work that explores themes such as:

• Digital transformation at national and organizational levels
• Innovation, globalization, and modern management practices
• The interplay between academic research and real-world economic challenges
• Interaction among academia, industry, and government for enhancing competitiveness and knowledge spillovers

While maintaining a special focus on Central-East and South-East European contexts and emerging markets irrespective of geographic location, the journal welcomes original research, empirical studies, theoretical analysis, and interdisciplinary work in areas including but not limited to:
